吉尔吉斯-土耳其玛纳斯大学的简介




Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University is a public institute of higher education, founded on a charter signed by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on September 30, 1995, in Izmir, Turkey. This day is now celebrated every year with participation of the university faculty and staff and specially-invited guests as a Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Day, marking the beginning of the academic year. 
The first 86 students began their studies in the 1997-1998 academic year in the fields of Turkology, History, Management, and Computer Engineering with 38 professors. In the 2019-2020 academic year, there were a total 4,653  students studying in 9 faculties (Humanities, Sciences, Economics and Management, Theology, Communications, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, and Arts), 2 schools (Physical Culture and Sports and Tourism and Hotel Management), and one School of Vocational Education. The number of teachers has also increased - 443 faculty and staff members and 391 administrative personnel working in management, finance, and upkeep of the university. Nowadays, KTMU is the first campus university in Central Asia set in the capital city of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek.
Currently, there are 86 programs, of which 10 (11.6%) are professional preparatory programs, 38 (44.2%) are undergraduate programs, 27 (31.2%) are graduate programs, and 11 (12.7%) are doctorate programs. All programs meet the requirements set by the Bologna Process. Students graduate with two diplomas that are officially recognized in Kyrgyzstan and in Turkey, as well as in other countries. KTMU has since become one of the leading universities in Central Asia based on the strength of its academic programs and research work, as well as its work with the broader community.
Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University is a full-fledged university equipped with all necessary laboratories and facilities for conducting research and education. There are students from 16 different countries within our university. This environment gives opportunity for cultural diversity and richness. Students from many different countries and communities meet each other and share their cultures together and make friends from all around the world.
The motto of KTMU is “the future is in our hands”. Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was awarded the highly ranked government award “Dostuk” (the Friendship Award) for the university's contribution to the social, economic, spiritual, and intellectual growth of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Clarivate Analytics also honored KTMU with the Most Productive Organization award at the Web of Science Awards 2017. These awards reflect the high level of work being done at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University at the national and international level for the future is in our hands.
